Barcelona – Getafe, La Liga Prediction

Disappointment for Barcelona after dropping out of Liverpool in the Champions League is mildly enormous. For teams who are not accustomed to winning big trophies and have no great expectations before the start of the seasons it is easier to take on similar defeats, but with all the conditions around the match and the way Barcelona played it’s really sad for them. When big teams such as Juve, Bayern, Real M, Barca and everyone else drop out of the UCL, serious dramas are coming around and comments on how bad it is and how everything should change, but the truth is that not any team can win the Champions League each year. The trophy is only for one team and everyone else is eliminated one way or the other, even if they played great during the whole season before, and certainly does not mean they have become weaker.

The mood in Getafe is quite different. There is a huge goal there and they have a chance to achieve it, and that chance is not every year. Getafe has 3 points in front of Valencia and Sevilla and their goal difference is a bit better so the situation is very delicate. Here a draw would work of the guests, as in the last round they will host Villarreal and if they win it will enter the Champions League.

Certainly guests will be very defensive. But we do not see how Barcelona won’t score a goal at Camp Nou. Being disappointed does not mean they should not recover and react properly. If an early goal falls in the first half, then we expect the team who received it to react and return it. Getafe can score to this wounded Barcelona. Our forecast for the match is BTTS at 1.72.
