Barcelona – Villarreal, La Liga Prediction

Barcelona were not very impressive against Granada in the front positions. They didn’t even score. Something that was most expected of them as they had their stars in attack back. Even Messi didn’t help. Obviously, the Catalans’ form is not good, but Granada did their best to pull off the victory. Valverde is under pressure. At least for now Barca holds a high level in the home games.

Villarreal are doing better than last season. The Yellow Submarine recorded strong victories over Leganes as a guest and Valladolid at home, and more importantly, they played quite strongly in those games. They have not scored a goal, but it is still early to say that their defense is stable. We are used to watching Villarreal fight for at least the Europa League, and last season was very weak, but instead of buying stronger players, Villarreal sold them, including their most important midfielder.

 Expert view : At Camp Nou is different. Barca have already scored 5 goals on 2 of their opponents here. One of them was Valencia. Villarreal are not good at defense. We expect a reaction from the champions. Barca score in both halves against Villarreal in 9 consecutive home games and overall this rival is very comfortable for them, and more importantly, the matches between the Catalans and Villarreal are filled with chances and goals. Prediction – Barcelona to score in both halves at 1.66.
