Dortmund somehow were expected to lose their visit to Atletico in during the week in the Champions League, but it really does not matter for these two teams since they are 99% qualified. Now is the far more serious game for the hosts, namely Der Klassiker and everyone is expecting Dortmund to show the same shape they had shown so far this season and to have a positive result, although the bookmakers have given Bayern again as a favorite. Dortmund, however, played at a world class level and before this loss vs Atletico they got 13 wins and 5 draws in their last 18 games as at Signal Iduna Park Borussia scored a very large number of goals lately. This is a golden chance for them and if they win they will have 7 points more than Bayern. In the last two games, Favre replaced the top scorers Alcacer and Sancho about 15 minutes before the end of the match, so it is obvious how important this derby is for him and the team.

Bayern continues to play very poorly. For weeks the Bavarians have not made a quality performance just to make anyone believe that they are back in shape and this has been proven with Freiburg last week and even with AEK during the week although the Greeks are levels below Bayern . There are no fresh ideas in their midfield and despite some positive breaks to the goal dryness for Lewandowski, it is obvious that the Pole is not the player that he was. Despite all the bad things for Bayern after this loss by Gladbach by 0-3 on Allianz Arena, their results are actually not bad at all – 5 wins and 1 draw in the last 6 games, but 2 clean sheets in them only.

This will be one of the most exciting German derbies between Borussia and Bayern in recent years. We are not used to seeing Dortmund as the favorite and the team playing much better than the opponent. Many people in the world who are interested in football and even bet at football will most likely bid to Dortmund or at least a double chance – 1X. We think the Bavarians deserve a last chance. If they manage to defeat Dortmund as a guest with this form for both teams and everything, things can change radically and let’s say it – the Bavarian machine is still Bayern Munich, so our main prediction is a bit lower, but secured – BTTS at 1.57. The alternative one, of course, is BTTS + over 2.5 goals at 1.86. We do not think we’ll see a boring and tactical match. Bayern can not rely on their defense, especially against such an attack as Dortmund’s one. The game should be open and spectacular with more goals.
