Brest – Olympique Lyon, French Ligue 1 Prediction

Brest is a very predictable team. They play simple football – they compact the lines, leave more play on the flanks, they are good at crossing – they can clean the ball, but they don’t often control it. They like to play against more dominant teams so they can take advantage of counter attacks. They are not particularly creative. They have enough points for the time being, according to their goals, which are not to get relegated.

Lyon lost 0-1 to PSG in the last round, and even the president of the kids claimed that the match was on like life and death for them. Nothing like that – all the time Lyon defended and almost did nothing interesting at the front positions against PSG. The Parisians were very smart and cautious and waited for their moment. For Lyon, the winless streak is already getting too big.

 Expert view : Brest make always 1-1 against Lyon in their last home games with the kids. This time Lyon is unlikely to fail, however. We will bet on them because we are inclined to look for the performance we expected against PSG, but it did not work out. Of course, it will be easier for them now. They need to do a few simple things at paper – be quick with the passes in front, use their long passes well, too, and most of all speed in attack, which will help them to break through Brest’s defense and not make big mistakes in defense.
