Brighton – Manchester United, Premier League Prediction

Brighton lost in the first round against Watford by 2-0, but they still played good. The Seagulls won against Manchester United by 1-0 last season and will try to do it again. They rely heavily on their home games and their style of play is not particularly the perfecto one for Mourinho. The blue ones had a net spent of around 60M pounds, which means they have serious ambitions to survive again and stay in the league for quite some time. Their most important purchases were the wing, Jahanbakhsh, Lille midfielder, Bissouma, and Leipzig’s left back, Bernardo. They did not sell any key player this summer.

United won against Leicester in the first round of the championship, but they did not really impress. It is strange how United play with these good players, because when they lead, they do not continue to look for a second goal to kill the game, but try to close the game and win without much ball possession, but with good defense. This has happened many times last season, so was the last round. Chris Hughton, however, managed to outwit Mourinho 3 months ago and is quite likely to do it again. It is important to note that the Portuguese said very clearly that the things between him and the big star, Pogba,  are completely OK, explaining that he has never been happier with his player.

United are not so stable in defense lately. They conceded a goal in 7 of their last 8 games. Brighton, on the other hand, scored in 5 of their last 6 games and scored 18 times in their last 22 game at home at all. “The Seagulls” managed to get stronger in attack this summer by buying few players and because of United’s unstable defense, our prediction is “Brighton to Score” at 1.66. Brighton also concede a lot, so it’s quite normal to look for a “BTTS” at 2.05
