Leicester City – Brighton, Premier League Prediction
ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION FOR LEICESTER - BRIGHTON
Leicester sacked Claude Puel after the tragic loss of 1-4 at Crystal Palace over the weekend, which was logical. The foxes are far away from their target this season, namely the 7th position, which is sort of the first place among the other teams outside the big six. As a former champion, Leicester is at the highest level, and even Ranieri himself, who reached the top with the foxes, was sacked on the next season due to poor results.
Brighton perform well for FA Cup, where they have reached the quarterfinals, but the shape of the gulls in the Premier League is terrifying. Only 1 win in the last 11 games made Brighton seriously involved in the battle for survival, though earlier this season it seemed unlikely. Their form in the games is even more disturbing – 2 wins in 26 games.
There will be two teams with very vulnerable defense. Leicester are not very motivated and will play to the end of the season without certain target, but the manager’s change can be rewarding, while Brighton will be under great pressure. In the last 6 games between Leicester and Brighton, there were always at least two goals. We think Leicester will be attacking a lot and this time they will succeed, while Brighton will try to take advantage of set pieces, which is a weak feature of Leicester lately. Prediction – Over 1.5 goals at 1.45.
- In 20 of Leicester’s last 24 home games there were at least 2 goals
- In 7 of the last 8 games of Brighton there were at least 2 goals
