Mexico – USA, CONCACAF Gold Cup Prediction for Final
ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION FOR MEXICO - USA
Although the United States hosts the tournament and are generally so good till now, Mexico remains the favorite in the final, which was not only the most logical, but also the most deserved final, as these are the two teams that can really be called the best on this continent. And somewhat Costa Rica maybe. Mexico are not with the best squad, though, and yet they are class over almost everyone else. Against Haiti they struggled and beat just 1-0 after extra time.
The United States also had some difficulties in the match against Jamaica, but it ended up with 3-1 as Pulisic scored the third goal for the team. There was also a precedent in the tournament, as for the first time the States allowed a goal, which was not entirely their fault, but that did not stop them. The United States have a good record against Mexico, so it is by no means the team that is the less likely champion. They are, however, the hosts of the tournament.
Mexico also had some problems against Haiti and Costa Rica, failing to beat them in regular time. It can certainly be said that Mexico has a very strong defense, and the same is true for the United States. For both teams, the trophy is extremely important, so we do not expect many risks and it should be one of those finals that they don’t look at the game, but the outcome. Prediction – Under 2.5 goals at 1.67.
