PSG – Rennes, France Supercup Prediction

PSG had a good preseason preparation and their results were not particularly impressive, but the new ones showed good shape and physics. There were some interesting transfers for Parisians. The main departures were Rabiot, Le Celso, Buffon, Nkunku, Krychowiak, Alves and Weah. Some of them left as free agents, others returned from loan and were sold, but PSG attracted Gueye from Everton, as well as Diallo, Sarabia and Herrera.

There were not so many changes at Rennes as the big transfer to the club was Niang from Torino for over 15 million euros. The main departure was the midfielder, Andre, in direction of Lille, as the striker Brandon was also sold to Osasuna. Rennes only had 3 friendly games this summer and they didn’t score in any of them. But hardly anyone will soon forget how they beat PSG for the French Cup.

 Expert view : We expect PSG to perform much better than this final and win. They just underestimated Rennes and were punished at one point for making that mistake. Now with a full line-up and some serious qualities, we expect to score a few goals. Our tip is PSG to score in both halves at 1.80. We think there will be many goals as these are offensive teams and the match is very early in the season. The teams do not have a perfect playing rhythm and therefore their defenses are not as stable.
