Rosenborg – Celtic, prediction for second leg of the 2nd round in the Champions League
Rosenborg will have to make a wonder. After allowing to be reversed, they will seek a win with a minimum of 2 goals difference. Last year Norwegians lost to Celtic again in this phase with 0-1 and were eliminated. But the first game ended 0-0. The “Trolls” are in good shape. They are in the peak of the Norwegian Eliteserien and have suffered only 4 losses in their last 25 games, 2 of them were against Valur and Celtic in the Champions League. The Norwegians are, however, much better at home. Their statistics in their last 25 home games are 16-6-3 and couldn’t manage to score in only 2 of them.
Celtic are in brilliant form and have recorded 8 wins in their last 9 games. They are certainly a favorite to go trough, but will try to score away goal and will most likely succeed as Rosenborg won’t have many opportunities, but risk it at some point. At the same time, if Celtic do score a goal, it won’t be a big problem if they concede one.
Both teams play very open game. This is particularly true for Celtic, whose coach Brendan Rodgers has always imposed offensive style of football, as we saw when he was a Liverpool manager before taking the Bhoys. Both teams to score in this game is completely reasonable. That’s our prediction for 1.80 in Efbet. Rosenborg had a great deal of luck and a slight referee mistake got them the victory when they played against Valur. Now this is unlikely to happen again, but they will do their best to succeed and make their revenge against Celtic for the past year.
For Rosenborg, the only two missing are the defensive midfielder, Konradsen, and the winger, de Lanlay.
For Celtic Dembele, Morgan, Griffins and Bitton are out
