Schalke 04 – Man City, Champions League Prediction

Schalke are an extremely hesitant team and constantly alternate wins, losses and draws. In their last 5 games, however, they have only 1 win, against Fortuna at home. Schalke had a great deal of rest and played only one friendly match in the winter break, so this could have affected their shape. In the end, however, Schalke must try to get a good result in the first match, as the chances at Etihad are not so big.

City plays extremely concentrated in every single match and although almost all teams know how to counteract the citizens, in fact, if City play their game the way they can, they simply can’t be stopped. This is already proven, otherwise Guardiola has played a very strong team even against Newport County, which speaks enough about the professionalism of the citizens and their coach.

Schalke are extremely vulnerable in defense in recent games and there is no memory from their stable defensive line at some moments since the start of the season. Our prediction is Over 2.5 goals at 1.56 and the key here is that we expect the citizens to try to solve everything right now and defeat with a difference. This means attack all the time and the possibility of leaving spaces at the back. Still, they have to think about the Cup final on Sunday, so Schalke is also able to score and don’t forget the game is in Germany.
