Scotland – Russia, Euro Qualifiers Prediction
ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION FOR SCOTLAND - RUSSIA
So far, the Scots have mostly away games in the EC. This will only be their 2nd home match in the 5th game. In the last one they lost 0-3 in Belgium, which is not strange, but the biggest and most shocking defeat was that of Kazakhstan at the start also 0-3. The Scots have taken the obligatory matches with San Marino and Cyprus. At the moment, the Scotland squad is relatively young with all players playing on the island and some of them being team-mates at club level.
The Russians also started with loss, but from Belgium as a guest. After that, however, they were uncompromising – 3 wins to 0 with a total of 14 goals scored during this period. The attack of the team will again be led by experienced Smolov and Dzyuba. Only 3 of the entire Russian squad do not play in the local championship. It is about two of the stars – Cheryshev and Golovin, as well as Komlichenko, who has no match for the national team yet.
Expert view : Hardly any of these two teams have a chance for the 1st position. It is firmly for Belgium, who are well above the rest of the group in terms of quality. Accordingly, Russia and Scotland are aiming for second place. Kazakhstan and Cyprus do not appear to be serious contenders for this position, and San Marino is unlikely to take a point. We think that the guests here will be quite cautious as draw suits them. Scotland and Russia have extremely solid defenses, not the most creative and technically gifted teams, so the most logical tip here is Under 2.5 goals at 1.53.
