Serbia – Ukraine, European Qualifiers Prediction

Serbia did its job against Luxembourg, though quite difficult. There was an open match with more goals. However, the Serbs are rather playing for honor. Hardly anyone thinks that the European champion, Portugal, could fail against Luxembourg as a guest. In this case, failure would mean loss or draw for Portugal. If this happens, then Serbia must beat Ukraine to qualify. Very unrealistic scenario.

Ukraine has not been that strong for quite some time. Having beaten Portugal at home, and previously smashed the Serbs 5-0, and overall being a complete hegemon in their group, given what teams they actually have against, we can certainly expect a lot of Ukrainians at the Euros. They achieved another win in a friendly against Estonia a few days ago. A very modest 1-0 without spending a lot of energy.

 Expert view : We think the most logical prediction here is to turn to goals. As already mentioned, there should be no tension in the Serbs. The truth is that they just have to do their job, as they did with Luxembourg, namely to do everything possible to defeat Ukraine, which will mean that they will have a prestigious victory, they will present themselves with dignity in the group, and besides everything else they have a huge chance to qualify for the Euros through the Nations League, so the mood there is good. We expect at least a goal from them. As for Ukraine, we don’t see them losing to 0, against almost every team in Europe right now. The shape of the Ukrainians is so good that there is no way not to bet on at least one goal for them. Prediction – BTTS at 1.80.
