The latest news from the tennis world is that the Association of Tennis Professionals Tour has canceled the ATP Tour and Challenger Tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic until the end of April.
The organizers of The Masters in Indian Wells have canceled all meetings and the mayor of Miami-Dade County has declared a state of emergency to cancel The Masters in Miami. That’s why ATP decided to stop all tournaments.
“We didn’t take this decision easily, which is a huge loss for our tournaments, players and fans around the world. However, we believe that this is a responsible decision in these times of global pandemic to protect the health of players, employees, the tennis community and the entire population, ”said ATP President Andrea Gaudenzi.
Should the situation with COVID-19 improve and the date is not extended, competitions in Munich and Estoril are expected on 27 April.
